Age Scotland has appointed Keith Robson to the role of charity director. Keith took up the post on 9 May and arrived from the National Official (Scotland) for the Association of Teachers and Lecturers. He has a varied third sector background having worked in education, health and housing. He is currently a City of Edinburgh councillor. As part of his role Keith will look at developing Age Scotland’s work particularly in tackling loneliness and isolation.

The Scottish Recovery Network (SRN) has appointed Frank Reilly as its new director. Frank will lead the work of SRN to raise awareness and understanding of recovery, to empower people affected by mental health problems and to strengthen recovery focused policy and practice in Scotland. He is currently project manager at The State Hospital, Carstairs and an honorary research fellow and sometime teaching fellow with the University of Strathclyde. He qualified as an addiction counsellor in 1989 and worked in alcohol and addiction projects in the third sector and social work before transferring to the NHS. He most recently worked on the transfer of prisoner health care from the prison service to the NHS.

The Health and Social Care Alliance Scotland has appointed Lucy Mulvagh as its academy development manager. Lucy is he former network manager at the Scottish Recovery Network. In her new role, Lucy will collaborate closely with alliance colleagues and a wide range of external stakeholders to deliver an ambitious programme of work and help realise fundamental change in health and social care in Scotland.

Bowel Cancer UK, has appointed Emma Macleod to the new position of Scotland fundraising manager. Emma joins Bowel Cancer UK’s Scotland office, based in Edinburgh, having most recently worked for the Children's Hospice Association Scotland. Prior to that, Emma was partnerships coordinator for the Sydney Children’s Hospital Foundation in Australia, where she managed a $1.5 million donor portfolio.

Scout’s Scotland has appointed Sharon Sheridan as head of fundraising as part of an expansion of its staff. Sharon brings years of experience as a fundraiser to the charity and has a thorough understanding of the third sector having worked at Teenage Cancer Trust, Cancer Research UK and armed forces charity SSAFA. Part of her role will see Sharon try to engage with as wide an audience as possible to get more people involved with fundraising for Scouts Scotland.
