The Social Enterprise Exchange Marketplace will be at The Gathering 2019, showcasing a number of brilliant Scottish social enterprises.

The Gathering is the largest free-to-attend third sector event in the UK. It has a big exhibition area and over 70 workshops, seminars and training sessions over the two days. Scotland’s First Minister Nicola Sturgeon will be returning for her annual breakfast address too.

Social Enterprise Scotland is encouraging Scottish social enterprises to join us there by booking an exhibition stand in the marketplace zone.

Booking a stand is a great opportunity to sell your social enterprise products and services and reach an audience of around 3,000 people over two days, including charities, members of the public, large and small businesses and public sector bodies.

You can access many potential new customers, as the event shines a light on charities, social enterprises and voluntary organisations in local communities across Scotland.

Social Enterprise Scotland members get £50 off an exhibition stand in the zone using booking code "SES Member". The offer is only for current SES full social enterprise and start up members, but all social enterprises are welcome to join us in the zone!

We’ll also be hosting a workshop, in association with Firstport, the social enterprise start-up agency, called “A practical guide to driving social enterprise activity”. The workshop takes place at The Gathering on Thur 21 Feb from 1.30–2.30pm.

This practical workshop for charities and community groups aims to introduce you to social enterprise. You’ll learn how social enterprise activity could help develop new income streams, how to harness your skills and knowledge in new ways, options for business models and culture change to embrace a business mind-set.

Come along to the workshop to meet other charities and voluntary groups who are considering social enterprise, meet the experts and discover how you could benefit from adopting a social enterprise model for your charity.

Social Enterprise Scotland has held a number of events using our Social Enterprise Exchange brand for the past few years. From evening dinners and networking events to trade fairs, it’s another way to promote and grow our thriving social enterprise community.

Strong marketing and promotion of social enterprises is the best way to ensure further growth and development of this innovative business community. Using a range of tools to help them trade more goods and services will ensure that their social impact benefits more people across Scotland.

We look forward to meeting you at The Gathering and at the Social Enterprise Exchange Marketplace zone – share the event details now using #scvogathering and #SEEM19.
