An opportunity for third sector organisations to actively engage with Audit Scotland on their latest progress report and recommendations on integration: Health and Social Care Integration: Update on Progress published 15th November 2018. The report says significant changes are required in the way that health and care services are delivered and that change cannot happen without meaningful engagement with staff, communities and politicians: ‘While some improvements have been made to the delivery of health and social care services, Integration Authorities, councils and NHS boards need to show a stronger commitment to collaborative working to achieve the real long term benefits of an integrated system.’

Audit Scotland is keen to strengthen its engagement with the third sector and this event builds on two VHS round tables held last year as part of Audit Scotland’s review of integration. It will be of particular interest to service providers, community health organisations, housing associations, third sector interfaces, and organisations working with or representing users of health and care services.

Claire Sweeney, Associate Director at Audit Scotland will present the findings and recommendations, then a panel of third sector organisations will lead discussion and questions.
