Challenging PIP decisions

This one-day course looks at how to challenge personal independence payment (PIP) decisions. There is an opportunity to discuss how the different PIP criteria affect appeal tactics, and think through how to go about getting the right outcome for clients. The course covers some of the significant caselaw that is relevant to PIP.
The course covers:
• A reminder of PIP entitlement conditions and claims process
• A discussion of PIP assessment criteria and problem areas such as ‘reliability’ and fluctuating conditions
• Gathering further evidence in PIP cases
• Preparing your case for appeal hearings
It is suitable for advisers with a working knowledge of PIP entitlement conditions. Some prior knowledge of appeals processes is useful.
