CharityComms Scotland Networking Group: Making sense of GDPR

From 14:00 to 16:30 on 6th February 2018

Crags Centre, 10 Bowmont Place, Edinburgh EH8 9RY

Cost: Free for CharityComms members, £30 for non-members

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) – the biggest change to data protection legislation in 25 years – comes into force in May 2018.

It’s going to affect all charities, giving them more responsibility to take care of data. As communicators, it’s particularly important we get up to speed with the new law, not only to avoid hefty fines, but to meet our audiences’ expectations, keep their trust, and give them a great experience.

At this event, you’ll have the chance to hear all about what GDPR means for communications and marketing professionals in a presentation from and Q&A with David Freeland, senior policy officer at the Scottish Information Commissioner’s Office.
