The Young Gallery, 116 Sword Street, Dennistoun, Glasgow G31 1SF
A unique exhibition by Primary 5 children from St. Anne’s and Dalmarnock Primary Schools featuring large scale sculptures representing play!
Inspired by artists Yayoi Kusama and Piet Mondrian, the children used familiar games and playthings and re-invented them by playing with scale and materials, and using repeat patterns to invent their own codes and sequences.
The Young Gallery, based in the East End of Glasgow is Scotland’s only dedicated gallery space for children up to 12 years old. Impact Arts deliver a range of creative arts projects in schools and nurseries in the East End and beyond. We work to inspire and empower children, celebrating their work at exhibitions in a stunning gallery space.
The exhibition will be open to the public between Tuesday and Friday, 12pm - 5pm, from February 7th - 17th 2017. Come along, take in the work, and leave your comments for the children!
