The Lighthouse, 11 Mitchell Lane, Glasgow G1 3LX

Marie Curie, Macmillan and the Scottish Government would like to invite you to a joint event to explore new research on supporting the needs of carers of people living with a terminal illness.
This free event is a great opportunity for you to discuss the Carers (Scotland) Act ahead of its commencement in April 2018. We'll be discussing implementation of the Act and how it will work for carers, the case for providing better support for carers and how we can support the needs of carers of those with a terminal illness.
We'll be focusing on:
Understanding the reality of caring in Scotland
Identifying carers of those with a terminal illness – including barriers and facilitators
Understanding the needs of carers supporting someone with a terminal illness
How quickly new Adult Carer Support Plans and Young Carer Statements should be prepared for those caring for someone with a terminal illness.
