Towards a Culture of Belonging in Adult Education

This is a past event.

From 09:30 to 13:00 on 24th October 2019

HDS, 4th Floor, Victoria Chambers, 142 West Nile Street, Glasgow G1 2RQ

Cost: £35 and £45

A seminar to consider what constitutes a meaningful culture of belonging and how this might contribute to learning, retention and mental resilience in adult education organisations.

- Exchange and explore experiences of alienation and belonging in educational situations
- Investigate how a culture of belonging might mitigate against current polarising extremes of opinion—political, social, economic, ecological
- Develop strategies to generate a culture of belonging for participants to take back to their places of employment as working ideas.

We plan to offer the option of a follow-up seminar in the Spring of 2020 to review the viability of the various strategies discussed. CPD certificates will be issued following the event.
