SIS is delighted to invite you to our series of events, Understanding Social Investment, delivered by our ASSIST Business Support initiative.
These events give individuals, charities, social enterprises, community enterprises, advisors and intermediaries an understanding of what social investment is and an overview of it can enable greater growth, sustainability and social impact. There is also time to explore the opportunities and challenges in relation to attendees’ own particular scenarios.

These lively and interactive events, delivered in conjunction with Community Shares Scotland, consider how social investment can be used to start, grow or develop community and social enterprise. Come along to find out what social investment is and whether it’s right for you, along with learning about using grants, loans and community shares as part of a financial mix, tips on raising finance to grow and develop socially enterprising activities and steps to become investment ready.

These events are suitable for staff, trustees and board members of community, third sector, charities and social enterprises with or looking to develop enterprising activities.

If you, your colleagues or your community want to know more about social investment then register now to save your free place. This is an excellent opportunity to learn more about social investment and what it could do for your organisation; whether that be now or in the future.

Refreshments and lunch will be provided at the events, along with the chance to speak with experts and gather insight from others’ social investment experience.

Spaces are limited for our Understanding Social Investment workshops, so book your space to join us on Eventbrite as soon as possible!
