Anti-abuse charity Tender welcomes support of Peep Show actor

Acclaimed actor Olivia Colman has been named as a patron of anti-domestic violence charity Tender.

The Broadchurch star’s relationship with the group began in October 2013 when she participated in a question and answer session following a screening of the film Tyrannosaur, co-hosted by Tender at the Curzon Soho.

The three-time BAFTA TV Award winner has said: “I believe that the work Tender is doing with young people, educating them about healthy and unhealthy relationships, is important, inspiring and imperative.

“Domestic violence prevention education can make a real difference in the lives of young people, and I am happy to give my support to an organisation that is pioneering this effort.”

Tender chief executive Susie McDonald said: “Tender is thrilled to have the support of Olivia Colman.

“We are excited that she stands behind the work we do preventing domestic and sexual violence in the lives of young people here in the UK.

“We look forward to welcoming Olivia to future events and further developing the relationship.”
