Lucy Kirkland has joined Cancer Support Scotland as its new community fundraiser. Prior to starting, she has been fundraising for over three years, starting her career with Mary's Meals as fundraising support officer in 2016. She then progressed onto Christian Aid as events fundraising officer, managing its community fundraising portfolio and events.

Scotland’s largest vision impairment organisation has appointed a new head of fundraising to lead on income generation to support future service development plans. Royal Blind has announced the appointment of Kerry Lindsay to the newly created role. Kerry has been at Downs Syndrome Scotland since 2015 as fundraising and communications manager and has over 17 years’ experience in the charity sector. The head of fundraising role has been created to lead the fundraising staff and develop new income streams in line with Royal Blind’s ambitions to develop new services.

Ramblers Scotland has announced that Brendan Paddy will become its new director. Brendan has previously worked with the Ramblers, first as interim director in Scotland during 2017 and more recently as a consultant on major GB-wide programmes. Previously, he was director of communications for the Disasters Emergency Committee.

Marie Curie has announced the appointment of Irene Johnstone as its new Glasgow hospice manager. She joins from the British Lung Foundation, having started her career in nursing and midwifery in Glasgow she has worked in commissioning, economic development and in various charity roles including abroad in Malawi.

A new chair of the Board of Directors has been appointed at Aberdeen-based youth charity and extreme sports specialist Transition Extreme (TX). Louise Andrew is a corporate lawyer with 18 years’ experience both in-house and in private practice. She is currently legal advisor at Tendeka, and has held senior roles for British Energy Group plc, KCA Deutag and John Wood Group plc.
