Highlands based social landlord Albyn Housing Society has announced a series of changes to its Board of Management. Albyn Housing Society is bidding farewell to Douglas Russell who has served on the current board for six years, he will however retain his position as a non-executive member of the board. Douglas will be replaced by the current vice chair, Shaun Smith (pictured), who will be stepping in to the role immediately. Additionally, two new board members will be joining Albyn this month, Lisette Howlett and Lynne Clow. These non-executive directors bring a wealth of experience, knowledge and industry insight.

Eleanor McEwan

Home-Start Aberdeen has appointed a new general manager. The family support charity has welcomed Eleanor McEwan to the role following a successful recruitment campaign. Eleanor brings over 15 years' experience in community development to her new position. She has a strong track record of delivering community-led projects and initiatives and is committed to supporting the growth of strong, skilled and empowered communities through the development of individual and collective capacity. Eleanor joins Home-Start Aberdeen from Sanctuary Group, a provider of housing and care services, where she held the role of community development manager for Scotland.

Zero Tolerance

There have been a series of new starts at Zero Tolerance. Lily Greenan as our new deputy director. Lily joins us with wealth of knowledge and experience in the sector, having previously been chief executive of Scottish Women’s Aid. She is joined by Jude Henderson as the new chair of its board. With an impressive and diverse career in the third sector, Zero Tolerance said it is excited to benefit from her strategic oversight and input. The organisation is also congratulating Jenny Lester, previously our project support intern, who has accepted the offer to become its new communications and events officer. Zero Tolerance is also welcoming back director Rachel Adamson from maternity leave.
