Kerry Reilly, YMCA Scotland

YMCA Scotland has appointed Kerry Reilly as its new chief executive. Reilly, who was chief executive of YMCA Edinburgh, replaces Peter Crory who left in December. Through her role she was already well known to both YMCA Scotland and YMCA internationally but was said to have impressed even further at interview with her ambition for the charity. Reilly took up the role on 5 January but liaised with Crory throughout December, after her appointment, to aid the transition and succession.

Roy Stirrat, Link Group

Housing organisation the Link Group has appointed Roy Stirrat as its new chairman. Stirrat joined Link’s board in 2009, having been a board member and chairman of Linkwide and Link Homes, and has been vice-chair since 2012. He replaces Peter Forman who retired after 14 years of service including three years as chair and four as vice-chair. John Hinton has replaced Stirrat as vice-chair. He was previously the chairman of Linkwide and LinkLiving. He joined the Link Group Board in 2003.

Sir Moir Lockhead, National Trust for Scotland

Conservation charity, the National Trust for Scotland, has announced that Sir Moir Lockhead OBE is to succeed Sir Kenneth Calman as chairman, when he retires from the role in 2015. Sir Moir has been tasked with leading the board of trustees in setting out a new vision and strategy for the charity’s long-term future. He has an abundance of business experience, and is known particularly for his time as chief executive of Aberdeen-headquartered FirstGroup. He was awarded an OBE in 1996 for services to the bus industry, and knighted in 2008.

Neville Mackay, Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations

Neville MacKay has been appointed vice convener of the Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations. Mackay has been the chief executive of the Scottish Public Pensions Agency since July 2004. Before that, he headed the Scottish Government’s Voluntary Issues Unit. He has over 25 years of experience of working within the public sector both in Scotland and England. During his career he has worked on the boards of a number of diverse organisations including the Association for Geographic Information, the Football Trust and Project Scotland.
