Debbie Hunter

The Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund has appointed Debbie Hunter as director for Scotland and Northern Ireland. Hunter has a strong background in the charity sector, having served as head of fundraising for Thistle Foundation and regional fundraising manager for both Cancer Research UK and Marie Curie Cancer Care. She will be based at the RAF Benevolent Fund’s regional office in Edinburgh and will oversee the charity’s operations in Scotland and Northern Ireland.

Stefan Brennan

Stefan Brennan has been appointed as resource admin officer at Disabled Persons Housing Service (Fife)( DPHS) for the next six months following his initial six months Community Jobs Scotland stint. Brennan is the first point of contact for customers and stakeholders at the service. During his time at DPHS he has studied for his Level 1 National Standards Housing Law, Information and Advice and will now study Level 2. Brennan will provide much needed continuity in admin cover at a time of increasing referrals for the charity. He previously worked in the private sector with an estate agency and is now learning about full options over all tenure types.

Karen Carrick

The Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations (SCVO) has appointed Karen Carrick as the evaluation officer for Building Healthier and Happier Communities, a national programme which demonstrates the benefits of community-based approaches to improving Scotland’s health. Carrick, who has worked with Edinburgh Voluntary Organisations Council, Greenspace Scotland, Save the Children and the Scottish Social Services Council, will equip organisations with an improved ability to demonstrate their impact.

Robin Woolcock

Robin Woolcock has been appointed president of the automotive industry charity BEN. Woolcock replaces Joe Greenwell and will also chair the charity's board, that he has sat on since 2005. BEN is a UK wide charity dedicated to those who work, or have worked, in the automotive and related industries, as well as their dependants.
