The National Campaigning Awards is on the hunt for the UK's most effective, creative and courageous campaigners

Campaigners and campaigning organisations are being encouraged to enter the National Campaigning Awards.

The awards are run by the Sheila McKechnie Foundation (SMK) in a bid to recognise the UK's best non-party political campaigners.

Sue Tibballs, chief executive of SMK said: “Each year, SMK celebrates the best campaigns and campaigners – whether working locally or nationally, and from individuals and community groups to people working in large organisations. Our interest is in finding those who have made change happen – most effectively, creatively and courageously.”

There are 10 awards in total including Best Digital Campaign, Best use of Law, Best Consumer Campaign, Best Community Campaign and the David and Goliath award for a small campaign group that has taken on a big organisation.

Winners will receive their award at a special evening ceremony in London on Wednesday 21 March 2018.

Enter or nominate a campaigner before Sunday 21 January 2018.
