Supporting Scottish communities - Hallmaster backs SCVO’s village and community halls event

Sponsored content: community halls and venues must be able to adapt to meet challenges

It’s a challenging time for all kinds of venues.

After the stresses of Covid, the strains of a cost of living crisis, and the turbulent, wide-ranging effects of war, it’s never been more important for communities to find ways of sticking together and making a difference. My belief has always been that major change starts at a grassroots level.

Alongside these challenges, local venues are facing more nuanced changes in customer expectations. With the rise of online business over the past 25 years, the way customers approach businesses has evolved. Most now expect to be able to do everything online, from their weekly food shop to booking a room for their yoga class.

Community halls and venues must be able to adapt to meet these challenges. We consider it our mission to provide the tools to help them do just that.

This is why I’m proud that Hallmaster is supporting the village and community halls event organised by SCVO. It reflects our shared appreciation of the importance of community spaces. Whether it is a council meeting, a painting workshop, or a fundraising event - the flexibility these shared spaces provide is often invaluable to local areas.

Since we started over 12 years ago, Hallmaster has supported similar events around the UK which has given us the chance to meet in person and hear the efforts and difficulties faced by many trustees, committee members and volunteers, and offering advice, support and sponsorship.

We saw that many venues required support to bring their processes up to date and be more efficient, so we created Hallmaster with a primary mission in mind - to bring an affordable, and easy-to-use world-class booking and invoicing system to community halls and venues across the country.

This experience supporting local areas allowed us to take what Hallmaster does best - booking and invoicing services - and directly offer it to the areas and organisers that would use it to make the biggest difference in their communities. I’m proud that Hallmaster has its own tradition of supporting these events and organisations - and I’m thrilled that we can now support the village and community halls event from SCVO.

Now, with thousands of venues having transformed their booking systems with Hallmaster, I’m proud that we can find new ways to support community halls and spaces and keep our communities thriving for generations to come.

Hallmaster is the industry-leading booking and invoicing software for community venues. With Hallmaster, venues have access to a suite of online tools such as booking calendars, invoicing systems, heating, and security integration and more. Our system has already helped thousands of venues eliminate double bookings, invoice more efficiently, increase their customer base, and enable them to bring their communities together.
