A wise man – or maybe it was a nursery rhyme – once said that coughs and sneezes spread diseases. Yet according to a survey by throat lozenge manufacturer Fisherman’s Friends more people than ever are risking their own and their colleague’s health by battling their way into the office while suffering from the cold or mild flu. One in 20 people surveyed said suffering from a cold or mild flu was never a valid reason for calling in sick, but double that amount said it was bad manners to go in. What do you think? Is it worth coming into work when you’re ill? Do you think people should turn up to work even if they’re under the weather, or should they take the opportunity to stay tucked up in bed and catch up on This Morning?

What do you think? Please tell us why.
