Minimum pricing came into force in Scotland this week.

However some charities have claimed that increasing the price of drink does not go far enough to try and stop people from hitting the bottle.

Cancer Research UK has suggested that cigarette-style health warnings should be placed on alcohol packaging.

Why not. It's too often marketed inappropriately, for instance showing people enjoying themselves, obviously during the first 'round' and not after the fifth or sixth.

The misery that alcohol has brought to this country for decades and the cost are beyond imagination.

Perhaps anyone articulating or promoting a socialist policy should be made to display a health warning, as socialist policies have killed far more than smoking or alcohol put together.
