Motability is a monopoly making more than £200m per year and paying staff huge salaries and bonuses. Competition and proper governance need to be introduced to bring to an end the years of extortion from the uk taxpayers that the current Motability scheme represents. A National Audit Office investigation with oversight from the Public Accounts Committee is urgently required as a brief scrutiny Motability Operations Accounts reveals huge revenues, even larger reserves and salaries that a FTSE 100 company would struggle to defend.
