TFN poll: should wet wipes be banned?

This poll is almost 6 years old

Wet wipes could soon be a thing of the past as they fall victim to the war against plastic.

The UK government says its plan to eliminate plastic waste "includes single use products like wet wipes" which contain non-biodegradable plastic.

So manufacturers will either have to develop plastic-free wipes or consumers will have to go without.

However, while this has been welcomed by environmental campaigners, disability activists and parents have hit out, saying there are no practical alternatives.

That’s why we’re asking: what do you think? Should wet wipes be banned?

Vote now and get the debate going by leaving a comment below.

It would be ignorant to vote no. Some scientists say we only have 10 years to live on this planet, whether they are right or wrong we are in an emergency situation. We all need to educate ourselves.
