Top charities in social media top ten

UK based charities have ranked highly in a list of the world’s best known charity brands.

The RSPCA comes in fourth in a top ten list of how charities are performing on social media.

Others in the top 10 are Oxfam, the British Red Cross and Médecins Sans Frontières.

The Brandwatch Social Index ranks international brands across a number of sectors, including the voluntary and non-profit sectors.

Its has found that theRSPCA has the best social media brand of any UK charity or non-profit, and the fourth highest globally.

The rankings are based on “social visibility”, “general visibility”, “net sentiment”, “reach growth” and “engagement and content”, with each category given a score out of 100.

The RSPCA scored 270 – with its social media brand being given a perfect score for its “engagement and content”.

The RSPCA is not a UK charity, it's an English/Welsh charity. It's already well known that people confuse this as they receive donations from people living in Scotland who don't know that the SSPCA cover Scotland and do amazing work as shown on a TV series currently running. We need to raise their profile A LOT more so that they get the money they deserve.
