Vote for your favourite photograph representing life in rural Scotland in honour of the inaugural Scottish Rural Parliament

Photographs representing life in rural Scotland have been selected in celebration of the launch of Scotland's first Rural Parliament next month.

Six photographs representing different elements of rural life have been chosen as the finalists in the Celebrate Rural Scotland competition, run by the Scottish Rural Network.

The overall winner will be chosen by the public, who are being urged to vote for their favourite.

Norette Ferns, editor of the Scotland National Rural Network website said, "We are delighted to launch the poll to decide the winner of the Celebrate Rural Scotland photo competition. The competition launched in September and we received over 180 fantastic entries from across rural Scotland with subjects from pipe bands to glorious sunsets.

"Selecting just one winner from each of the six themes was no easy task and we're sure the poll to decide the overall winner will be a close run thing too. So, if you have a favourite photo, make sure you vote!

The six theme winners will be exhibited at the Scottish Rural Parliament event in Oban from 6 to 8 November.

The overall winner will receive a luxury hamper packed full of Scottish produce and will be announced at the Rural Parliament event.

View all the finalists and cast your vote in Celebrate Rural Scotland photo competition poll before 5pm on Monday 3rd November.
