Citizens Advice Scotland has said it will continue to offer support to those looking to remain in the country after Brexit

EU natives worried by Brexit are being advised that support is on hand.

Those wishing to remain in the UK after 31 October are having to apply for settled status.

So far, 50,000 people in Scotland have registered their application and Citizens Advice Scotland (CAS) has highlighted it can support those needing to apply.

CAS chief executive Derek Mitchell said: “We have helped many of these people through the process, but we think there may be many more who would like to apply but don’t know how to go about it.

“The Scottish CAB network runs a special service offering free assistance to any EU, EEA or Swiss person in Scotland who wants to stay here after Brexit. We will explain how the EU Settlement scheme works and help you through the application process.”
