A host of politicians are set to appear at The Eric Liddell Centre's annual event

A host of well-known politicians are set to support a charity Burns Supper.

The Eric Liddell Centre has unveiled details for its 2020 Burns Supper.

Edinburgh MP Ian Murray will deliver the Immortal Memory – a traditional part of the Burns Supper which toasts the national bard.

The other highlights of the evening include the Toast to the Lassies and Reply to the Lassies which will be delivered by Daniel Johnson MSP, Labour MSP for Edinburgh Southern and Jacqui Low, successful business woman, founder of leading Scottish communications company Indigo and a former director of Partick Thistle Football Club. Robin Harper, a former Green MSP completes the line-up for the event.

John MacMillan, chief executive of the Eric Liddell Centre, said: “We are delighted that Ian, Jacqui, Daniel and Robin have kindly agreed to participate in our 2020 Burns Supper – it’s amazing that they have taken time out of their busy schedules to support our care charity in one of our main fundraising events of 2020.”

The Burns Supper takes place on Thursday 23 January at 6.45pm. Tickets cost £40 each and are available to purchase by phoning 0131 447 4520, emailing [email protected] or visiting the centre’s reception in person.
