The Charity Retail Association's Good Cause Santa Clause campaign is returning

Shoppers are being urged to think about buying from charity shops when purchasing their Secret Santa gifts.

The Charity Retail Association has launched its Good Cause Santa Clause campaign.

The initiative – which is returning for a second year – aims to highlight the benefits of shopping at charity stores.

Robin Osterley, chief executive of the Charity Retail Association, said: “This is the second year we have run our Good Cause Santa Claus campaign and we hope 2018 will be even bigger and better than last year.

“Those who were involved in the first campaign loved the challenge and are looking forward to supporting charity shops and their local high street once again this Christmas. Why not sign up and join them?”

Campaign packs are available for organisations to download, with the association hoping that employers highlight the initiative amongst their staff and through social media.
