Work to transform a Barrhead site with wild flowers is well underway. The Waterworks was awarded £100,000 from Grow Wild’s Spring Sowing campaign.

The AGM of the Westhill Men’s Shed will be held on Friday April 18 at 12 noon at the Shed.

A wildlife bridge is to be built across the A9 near Luncarty to make it safer for local species to cross the busy road. Scottish Wildlife Trust welcomed it but warned more are needed.

Inverness Hospital Radio founder Donnie Aird has won a National Hospital Radio Award for his outstanding contribution. Aird organised and financed the launch of the station in 1970 with the late Alistair Gardner.

Royal Navy veteran Peter Devine has won Erskine’s veteran’s art competition with his painting Flood Tide. His work will be displayed at the Art for Erskine Sale from 24 July – 3rd August in Glasgow.

St Andrew’s First Aid has opened nominations for the Scottish First Aid Awards 2014. Nominations.

Entries are now open for Scotland’s Dementia Awards 2014. Organised by Alzheimer Scotland there are six categories with all details at ScotlandsDementiaAwards.org.uk.

The work of the Boys’ Brigade in Scotland has been celebrated in a week-long exhibition at the Scottish Parliament. The exhibition ran from 31 March to 4 April.

Charity, Abused Men in Scotland, has received £420,000 from Big Lottery to improve a helpline service for men in Scotland and work in partnership to provide support with Rowan Alba in Edinburgh.

Revive MS Support is hosting an art show in The Lighthouse, Glasgow as part of its 30th anniversary celebrations. The free show runs from 25-27 April.
