TFN will switch to fully digital during the coronavirus crisis

It’s business as usual for Scotland’s news outlet for the charity and voluntary sector.

The team at Third Force News (TFN) has been working hard to ensure continuity of service during the Covid-19 crisis.

All of our staff are now working from home, from where they have been updating this website with the latest civil society news.

They have also been producing a daily coronavirus briefing and roundup for the sector.

Plans have also been made to continue production of our TFN magazine.

As of April, and for the foreseeable future, it will be made available via a PDF e-reader.

It is hoped that production of physical copies can be resumed when the current crisis abates.

TFN editor Graham Martin explained: “There are no areas of our life that haven’t been overtaken by the escalating Covid-19 crisis. We have all had to adapt to new ways of working. TFN has now taken steps to ensure continuity of production over the coming period, and we have taken the decision to temporarily suspend the physical printing of our monthly magazine.

“However, that doesn’t mean you will be missing out on your monthly TFN – instead, from the April edition, we have switched to an easy to use e-reader. This will be available to all members and subscribers as normal, and the TFN team will be in touch to let you know how you can access it.

“Meanwhile, TFN continues to update all the latest voluntary sector news and opinions every day on our website and across our social media channels. Make sure you subscribe to have our bulletins – the perfect companions for home working! - sent straight to your inbox.

“TFN aims to keep on keeping you informed and in touch in an uncertain world.”

You can continue to advertiseas normal in TFN. The new TFN e-reader will reach thousands across the voluntary sector and will be sent out in our weekly bulletins and across our popular social media channels.
