An event to celebrate multicultural women is taking place this weekend.

Dundee International Women’s Centre (DIWC) - which offers engagement, education and self-empowerment for black and minority ethnic women living in Dundee - is hosting its annual Bite and Blether event tomorrow (Saturday 11 November).

Now in its third year, the event offers women from all ethnicities an opportunity to come together to celebrate multicultural women living in Dundee. This year’s event at the Old Steeple Church will include talks from women aged 17 to 70 who have flourished from the support received at the centre, and a candid look at the challenges they have overcome.

Caroline McKenna, DIWC chief executive, said: “The theme of this year’s event is women of the world. In addition to our guest speakers, we have a number of fun activities planned to encourage our guests to interact and inspire one another. I’m delighted that the bite and blether event is in its third year, and the fact that tickets sold out in two weeks is proof of its growing popularity.”
