Lisa Hague and Nicholas McDonald have challenged themselves to sit on every seat at Celtic Park to raise money for Marie Curie

Serial fundraiser Lisa Hague is attempting to raise £30,000 for charity by sitting on every available seat at Celtic Park.

Lisa, fiancée of Celtic ace Kris Commons, will team up with X Factor 2013 runner up Nicholas McDonald to sit on 55,500 seats at the home of the Glasgow giants to raise money for Marie Curie.

Kind hearted Lisa, who is said to have helped raise over £1 million for causes she has been involved with, is trying to raise £30,000 for the charity to coincide with her 30th birthday.

She has already taken on a number of challenges to help with her fundraising – including flying falcons, auctioning a Gerard Burns painting, working with a removal firm, working behind a reception at the Holiday Inn and serving pints in a Celtic Supporters Club – but hopes this final act will take her up to her target.

Speaking ahead of the event Lisa said: "I am now set to take on the toughest challenge in my life by aiming to sit on every available seat in Celtic Park in four days with my good friend Nicky.

Alan Shearer did it at Wembley for Sports Relief and when I phoned him to ask for advice he warned me not to do it!

“Nicky and I will be doing the equivalent of 55,500 squat thrusts in four days! So I hope that our friends, fans, supporters of Marie Curie and the general public will sponsor us to help us raise as much as possible for this amazing charity.

Lisa and Nicholas are hoping people will sponsor them for the task, which they will carry out over four days between Monday 18 May and Thursday 21 May, averaging 13,875 seats a day.

Nicholas McDonald, who is also known for his charity work, said: “Lisa is a great friend and I am up for the challenge.

“We’ll keep each other laughing when the going gets tough and hope to raise as much as possible for Marie Curie.”

Murray Easton, fundraising manager for Marie Curie, added: “Lisa is an absolute gem and her fundraising will help Marie Curie continue to provide care and support for people living with a terminal illness and their families.

“This is an extremely tough challenge for Lisa and Nicholas to take on but they are determined and I’m sure they will receive tremendous support along the way.”

Following the challenge Lisa will be celebrating raising £30,000 with a special 30th birthday party at Celtic Park on the evening of Saturday 23 May.

Proceeds from the evening will be split between the Celtic FC Foundation and Marie Curie.
