High end department store opens store for a month in aid of children's charity

Harrods has launched a pop-up charity shop in support of children’s charity the NSPCC.

Fashion Re-told opened on Friday (13 April) for a month and offers high-end and designer clothing donated by the public.

The shop will bring the high-end customer service and the luxury surroundings of Harrods to a pop-up setting, the charity said, with all proceeds going to support the NSPCC’s work in London.

The premises for the shop in Sloane Street, next to the Harrods main store, were donated by the property company Cadogan.

Claire Hoyle, deputy director of fundraising at the NSPCC, said: "By visiting Fashion Re-told, shoppers can get their hands on some amazing fashion while helping the NSPCC be there for the children of London.

"We’d like to thank Harrods for being so committed to its partnership with us and are also very grateful to Cadogan for supplying us with a stunning space to host our pop-up store."

Harrods has been one of the charity’s corporate partners since 2015, raising more than £500,000 to date.

Alex Wells Greco, head of visual merchandising at Harrods, said: "The work the NSPCC does within the London community is so important, and Harrods was absolutely thrilled to be able to offer our expertise.”
