Breakthrough Breast Cancer and Breast Cancer Campaign have legally merged and moved to new headquarters

Two UK cancer charities have now legally merged and are operating as one organisation.

Breakthrough Breast Cancer and Breast Cancer Campaign moved into their new headquarters at Ibex House in London on 31 March.

The new charity is yet to reveal its name and visual branding but a spokesman told TFN an announcement on that will be made in the summer.

The two charities revealed last November they were to merge to create the UK’s largest breast cancer charity.

At the time, a joint statement said: “United, we will be a stronger, more effective force committed to putting an end to breast cancer.

“Everyone affected by breast cancer deserves to see an end to this devastating disease and by combining our energies and expertise we’ll make greater progress in more efficient ways and achieve our shared ambition that by 2050, no one will die from the disease.”

James Jopling, the former director for Scotland at Breakthrough Breast Cancer, has been appointed director of Scotland for the new charity.
