The Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice in Glasgow is looking for items as it prepares to reopen its shops

A hospice is launching a new way of taking donations as it looks to reopen its charity shops.

The Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice is to open a drive-thru drop off service as it launches an urgent appeal for clothes and textiles.

The Glasgow charity announced it will soon be re-opening its 17 hospice shops and are seeking donations of unwanted items.

The drive-thru will open at the hospice, in Bellahouston Park, this Saturday (13 June) and will be available every following Saturday and Wednesday between 10am and 7pm.

A Facebook post from the charity said: “From Saturday 13 June we will have a drive-thru at the hospice where you can come and drop off any unwanted items. We will have this drive-thru available each Saturday and Wednesday between 10am and 7pm.

“To enter the drive-thru please come in at the top entrance to the hospice at Bellahouston Park, we will have signposts directing you. Unfortunately we cannot accept any white goods or furniture just now.”
