Human Appeal is aiming to raise more than a million pounds for those without a home
A comedy tour is hoping to raise more than a million pounds for charity.
Human Appeal is hosting a gig in Glasgow as part of its campaign to raise £1.1 million for people who face life without a home during the winter months.
The UK tour will feature some top acts, such as Prince Abdi, Jeremy McLellan and Preacher Moss.
The gig is part of Human Appeal’s 16 city comedy tour this December, organised in order to make people laugh whilst raising awareness of the greater risk winter brings to people living in dangerous circumstances through its Winter Kills campaign.
The money raised by Human Appeal will go towards food packs, emergency kits (clothing, blankets, mattresses and heating supplies) and shelter for people vulnerable to winter throughout the UK, Syria, Iraq, Palestine, Jordan, Lebanon, Myanmar, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sudan, Somalia and Kenya.
Othman Moqbel, Human Appeal’s chief executive said: “For millions of people around the world, winter can be a killer. Sub-zero temperatures, freezing rain, sleet and snow are deadly when you don’t have a home to go to, warm clothes to wear or shoes on your feet.”
