Entries are open now for the Nature of Scotland Awards.

RSPB Scotland’s Nature of Scotland event will spotlight the people, projects, and organisations who have had wonderful achievements in preserving and improving our natural world thanks to their passion and dedication.

The awards, organised in conjunction with Scottish Natural Heritage (SNH), take place later this year, with a host of categories available to enter.

A spokesperson for the awards said: “Free to enter, we are seeking applications and nominations by Monday 1 June in nine award categories including the SNH Business Award, the Coasts and Waters Award and the Conservation Science Award which this year will focus on early career researchers.

“We are also proud to announce two brand new categories, the Forest and Woodland Award and the Nature and Climate Action Award which will recognise those taking definitive steps to both saving nature and mitigating or adapting to climate change.”

Entries are open until Monday 1 June, with the finalists revealed at the Scottish Parliament on Wednesday 2 September. The awards will be held at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre (EICC) on Wednesday 25 November.
