The Young People Entrepreneurship Engagement Programme (YPEEP) aims to equip young people with the skills to build successful social enterprises

Budding young social entrepreneurs are being given the chance to build their skills.

The first edition of the Young People Entrepreneurship Engagement Programme will take place at the University of Strathclyde Technology and Innovation Centre on 23 September.

YPEEP 2019 is all about empowering and connecting local young entrepreneurs, and designed to teach budding social entrepreneurs all the basics of setting up a social enterprise - from legal structures, trademarks, branding and marketing to business planning.

Attendance at the workshops will help young people develop a robust business proposition whilst addressing a social or environmental need within their community.

A spokesman for YPEEP said: “Young people will learn more about the tools to help aspiring entrepreneurs turn great ideas into thriving businesses. So, from developing ideas through to launching the business, the event will provide the resources needed in terms of information for every step in the entrepreneurship pathway toward success.

“YPEEP 2019 is an educational initiative which will draw a road-map to success for young people achieved by inviting speakers from Scotland to share their experiences and best practices, with the aim of building stronger and more resilient small businesses; the backbone of the Scottish economy.”

To secure your attendance at the event, visit the YPEEP Eventbrite page.
