The support we’ve received over the years from Fresh Air has been fantastic - Grant Sugden

Fresh Air won best outreach project at the I Love Student Radio awards for its work with Waverley Care.

Waverley Care has been the station’s partner charity for six years.

The station regularly runs fundraising events for the charity as well as taking part in community outreach projects.

Eve Livingston, who picked up the award with the Fresh Air team said: “Some of the most rewarding work I've done in my time at Fresh Air is the fundraising and promotion we've done for Waverley Care through things like our 24 hour show, charity auction, and even working alongside them on projects in the wider community such as school work experience placements.”

Grant Sugden, Waverley Care chief executive, said: “The support we’ve received over the years from Fresh Air has been fantastic. They are always really keen to get stuck in and support our vital work.

“A 24 hour radio show is no mean feat so we appreciate everything that they do for us.”
