Supporters of Finding Your Feet were taken aback by a surprise video message from the Hollywood actor

A wrestling superstar surprised supporters of a Scottish charity with an inspiring video message.

Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson prepared a message of support for amputee charity Finding Your Feet.

Supporters of the charity attended a special showing of Johnson’s new film Skyscraper – which features an amputee action hero – at the GFT cinema in Glasgow last week.

And they were taken aback when the Ballers star appeared on screen to address the audience before the movie started.

In the video, Johnson said: “Thank you to Finding Your Feet for hosting tonight – you guys are doing great work for amputees and their families.

“We appreciate all you do and thank you for being an inspiration.”

The video also features the charity’s founder Corinne Hutton, who set up Finding Your Feet after losing her hands and legs to septicaemia in 2013.

Hutton said: “I set up Finding Your Feet to try and encourage amputees to be all they can be and to push themselves.

“We were thrilled to find out someone like Dwayne Johnson is playing an amputee in a movie.

“That in itself is going to spread the word for amputees and what we can do.”
