Revealed: Scottish Fundraising Award winners

Event was held in Glasgow

Children 1st’s Regan Johnson (pictured) has been named as Fundraiser of the Year at the Scottish Fundraising Awards.

The ceremony, held in Glasgow, recognises excellence in fundraising and celebrates the achievements of those who are building and leading charities, voluntary organisations and social enterprises.

On the night, Best Individual Giving Campaign was taken by the University of Edinburgh for its Autumn Appeal 2018/19, Best Partner Relationship – was won by Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance (SCAA) for its work with Edinburgh International Airport while the gong for Best Use of Event or Community Fundraising Initiative was handed to the Scottish Association for Mental Health for its Stomp campaign.

Lorraine McInnes of Maggie’s Glasgow received Volunteer Fundraiser of the Year, Poppyscotland’s Sportive Working Party took Voluntary Fundraising Group of the Year and the Fundraising Excellence Award went to Susan Robinson for CVS Inverclyde.

Virginia Anderson, chair of IoF Scotland, said: “It has been a privilege to celebrate the incredible work being done by some of the best fundraisers in Scotland.

“It’s my first Scottish Fundraising Awards as IoF Scotland chair, and I’m proud to congratulate all those projects and people that change lives every day. From providing heritage venues to hospices, so much is made possible

Susan Williams, chair of the awards committee, added: “It was encouraging to see so many strong entries from across all categories this year, which shows that excellent fundraising continues to grow in Scotland. A massive congratulations to all of our winners, and a sincere thanks to all the amazing fundraisers who entered the running this year – you are all playing your part in making our sector great!”
